Applies to all contests, giveaways, and promotions provided by the Sponsor, The Urban Chickens, on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Google+, YouTube, LinkedIn, Etsy, RSS feeds or any other social media or app and on www.theurbanchickens.com.
All “The Urban Chickens” contests, giveaways, and promotions are NOT sponsored, endorsed or administered by or associated with Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Google+, YouTube, LinkedIn, Etsy, RSS feeds or any other social media or app.
NO ENTRY FEE. NO PURCHASE OR OBLIGATION NECESSARY TO PLAY OR WIN.
CONTEST, GIVEAWAY, AND PROMOTIONS DETAILS:
All entries for Contests, Giveaways, and Promotions sponsored by THE URBAN CHICKENS must be received by 11:59pm PST on the Entry Deadline Date.
TO ENTER:
Read these Official Rules and follow the specific steps for each individual promotion during the Entry Period. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of a winner, the winner will be deemed to be the person in whose name the e-mail account governing the e-mail address or social media account was opened. Entrants must provide all information requested to be eligible to win. Incomplete, unreadable, or unintelligible entries will be disqualified. All information provided by entrants becomes the property of Sponsor. Winners will be notified by Social Media Comment or via Email depending on contest/giveaway/promotion. To enter by email without obligation, email theurbanchickens@gmail.com. Please be sure to include contest/giveaway/promotion name in the subject line. All email entries must be received by contest/giveaway/promotion Entry Deadline Date. Private accounts must be made Public during the contest/giveaway/promotion in order to enter.
PHOTO ENTRIES:
For photo entries, please submit clear, high-quality photos. Blurry or low-quality photos will not be considered.
Submit your contest entry in ONE of the following ways:
- Include all contest hashtags as well as tag your contest post with @theurbanchickens
- OR include all contest hashtags and submit your entry via DM
- Do not submit via both tagging @theurbanchickens and DM. Your entry will be disqualified.
All contest picture entry dates and voting dates end promptly at 11:59pm Pacific Standard Time (PST).
Winner and all contest entrants give permission to “The Urban Chickens” to use entry, photo, caption, comment or likeness on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Google+, YouTube, LinkedIn, Etsy, RSS feeds or any other social media or app and on www.theurbanchickens.com.
ELIGIBILITY:
Contest/Giveaway/Promotion is open to current “The Urban Chickens” Followers age 18 or older, who are legal residents of the U.S. and have an active email account and Internet access as of the beginning of the contest/giveaway/promotion period.
Participation in the contest/giveaway/promotion constitutes entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Rules & Regulations (“Official Rules”). VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
No mechanically reproduced mail-in entries are allowed and any use of robotic, automatic, programmed or the like entry methods will void all such entries by such methods.
You may enter 1 time per contest, unless otherwise stated. If you have previously won a contest, you may not enter another contest put on by The Urban Chickens for 60 days from the end date of that contest to give other “The Urban Chickens” Followers an opportunity to win. Winning photos may not be used again to enter another contest.
PRIZE DRAWING:
All contest/giveaway/promotion name entries meeting the requirements of these Official Rules will be entered into the prize drawing, to be held on or around 7 days after online deadline at The Urban Chickens, Kirkland, WA 98034. The winners will be selected at random from among all eligible entries received, except for voting type contests, which are decided by follower’s votes. Final contest/giveaway/promotion decisions are solely determined by The Urban Chickens and all decisions are final.
PRIZES AND ODDS:
The odds of winning a prize depend on the total number of eligible entries received. Winners are solely responsible for any and all federal, state, provincial and local taxes that apply to prizes. No cash or other substitution of prizes is permitted, except at the sole option of Sponsor for a prize of equal or greater value. Prizes won by minors will be awarded to the parents or legal guardians, who must sign all required affidavits and releases. Sponsor will not replace any lost or stolen prizes. The prizes to be awarded from the contest/giveaway/promotion are listed on the Fun Stuff page on theurbanchickens.com website. The odds of winning a prize depends on the total number of eligible entries received.
NOTIFICATION OF WINNERS:
Winners will be notified by Social Media comment or Email depending on contest/giveaway/promotion format within five (5) business days of the prize drawing, and may be required to sign and return an affidavit of eligibility and publicity/liability release within seven (7) days of notification. If a selected Winner cannot be contacted, is ineligible, fails to claim a prize and/or where applicable an affidavit of eligibility and publicity/liability release is not timely received, is incomplete or modified, prize may be forfeited and an alternate Winner will be selected from remaining valid, eligible entries timely submitted. In the event of a dispute regarding who submitted an entry, the entry will be deemed submitted by the authorized account holder of the e-mail account specified in the entry. “Authorized account holder” is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. No automatically generated entries will be accepted.
WINNER’S LIST; OFFICIAL RULES:
For a list of prize winners or a copy of these Official Rules, send your request and a stamped, self-addressed envelope to The Urban Chickens, “Contest/Giveaway/Promotion Name,” 9805 NE 116th Street, Suite 7467, Kirkland, Washington 98034 or (for a Winner’s list only) send an email message to theurbanchickens@gmail.com with “Winner’s List” as the email subject and “Contest/Giveaway/Promotion” name specified in the body of the e-mail.
PRIVACY POLICY:
Any personal information supplied by you to the Sponsor will be subject to the Sponsor’s privacy policy, which is to keep your information private. The Urban Chickens will not sell, rent, transfer or otherwise disclose your personal data to any third party other than the corresponding Sponsors whose offers you failed to opt-out. Additionally, by entering the contest/giveaway/promotion you understand that The Urban Chickens may occasionally send you additional commercial marketing email regarding The Urban Chickens and its partners.
ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS:
Except where prohibited by law, by accepting any prize, Winner consents to the use of his/her name, photo and/or likeness, biographical information, winning entry and statements attributed to winner (if true) for advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation. All entries become property of Sponsor and none will be acknowledged or returned. Please allow 2-4 weeks for delivery of prizes.

By participating and winning a prize, Winner releases Sponsor, its parent, affiliates, subsidiaries, directors, officers, employees, sponsors, and agents, including advertising and promotion agencies, from any and all liability with respect to the promotion/contest or the acceptance, possession or use of any prize, including without limitation (i) any condition caused by events beyond Sponsor’s control that may cause the promotion/contest to be disrupted or corrupted; (ii) any injuries, losses, or damages (compensatory, direct, incidental, consequential or otherwise) of any kind arising in connection with or as a result of the prize, or acceptance, possession, or use of the prize, or from participation in the [Promotion/Contest Name]; and (iii) any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the promotion/contest. Sponsor’s decisions in all respects relative to the promotion/contest are final. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, modify or suspend the promotion/contest in whole or in part, in the event of fraud, technical or other difficulties or if the integrity of the promotion/contest is compromised, without liability to the entrant. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any winner, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. The winner is responsible for paying any income taxes on the value of the prize received. Void where prohibited or restricted by law. All federal, state, provincial and local regulations apply.
By entering, entrants confirm they are 18+ years of age, that they release all social media companies used in the contest/giveaway/promotion and The Urban Chickens and all affiliates of responsibility, and that they agree to all social media companies used in the contest/giveaway/promotions “terms of use” of their social media product.
